Frederick Kitchens and Bathrooms recently finished a master bathroom and kitchen remodel and we couldn’t be happier.
They worked with us to get us what we wanted.
We were given a start date and they came and started the day they said they would. They kept things continuously moving until it was completed, they finished when they said they would, and kept the cost within the initial estimate. The work was well thought out and well executed, keeping us informed of what to expect next.
The things we noticed were minor and quickly resolved-which I really appreciated and speaks to their character and work ethic. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

We had Frederick Kitchens and Bath renovate our 25-year old main bathroom. Nick, the owner, was responsive and great to work with. As busy as their schedule was, he worked with our schedule that included a 2-month trip that delayed the start. They were still able to complete the job before our out-of-town guests arrived for the holidays.
The work was well-done and completed on time. Kudos to Victor, who led the project and worked well with us throughout.

Frederick Kitchens & Bathrooms recently replaced a shower in our primary suite. We selected FK&B because of referrals from other vendors at the Frederick Home Show. Nick Simmons, one of the owners, visited us within a day after contacting him at the show. He spent some time with us, listening to what we wanted to accomplish with our shower upgrade. He discussed multiple options to get the dimensions we wanted on the floor plan and walls. We talked about tiling, the enclosure, a niche for shampoo and conditioner, what kind of faucets and showerheads we might like. He gave as a ballpark estimate and we spent the next day at the FK&B showroom in Walkersville picking tile and looking at some display models. We moved forward with the project and as soon as all the materials were in hand FK&B’s crews showed up and started the work.
First thing the crew did was put down drop cloths from the front door, up the stairs, and into the bathroom. They then erected a tunnel from the bedroom door into the bathroom door to prevent any construction dust from escaping. The demolition was quick and all the debris was removed. At the end of the day, the entire area was cleaned and drop cloths were removed. There was no evidence they had been there except for the walls that had been demolished.
Each day it was the same process, and by the end of the week all the work had been completed. The following week Shower Door Experts showed up and took meticulous measurements. Two weeks later they came back to install the custom shaped glass.
The end result greatly exceeded our expectations. The process was very efficient and the crew members were excellent craftsman.
We will use FK&B for future projects and we recommend them without reservation!

We had two bathrooms renovated by FK&B in late winter/early spring 2023 (one full, one partial). I am always reticent to hand out quick reviews after contracting work because poor craftsmanship can take several months to reveal itself. That is absolutely not the case with FK&B; Victor and his crew’s craftsmanship has been fantastic.
There are several points that set FK&B apart and above the competition for me:
1. FK&B is veteran owned and operated.
2. We have an early 1900’s colonial, so there are original materials we asked Victor & crew to attempt to preserve during demolition that would have been 10x easier to just rip out. We only had a couple of requests like this but the crew actually listened to them and did their best to accommodate.
3. Nick’s original payment scheme proposal was 1/3, 1/3, 1/3. This is one of the signs of an honest contractor. Dishonest contractors often want 1/2 up front and 1/2 in the middle, just to leave the homeowner holding the bag at the end with no leverage.
4. It did take a while to get the job started (normal for a quality contractor), but once started it was completed in a timely manner with no real interruptions.
All in all, our experience with FK&B’s renovation was excellent. The quality of craftsmanship is fantastic, the crew was attentive to our desire to save original materials and not tear up the rest of the house during the renovation, the crew didn’t leave our job to complete other jobs, and the owner was honest and easy to work with in coordinating the job. We will definitely be returning to FK&B when we are ready for our kitchen renovation.

The owners are very friendly and were very honest and transparent about pricing. One thing that sets them above the others is that they don’t start the job until they have all the materials, so once they start work they work every day until the job is finished. No calling and waiting for days in between to get the job finished. All the contractors were friendly, respectful and competent. They all gave us great and honest advice. Nick threw in a ‘gift’ to us for our bathroom remodeling and that was very nice! It’s always amazing to get MORE than you agreed to in the same price! Highly recommend.
